Project Background
Temperature measurement of combustion boilers in large power plants is very challenging task. There is scope of installation of Thermocouples which can be installed in boiler combustion chamber which can provide only overview of temperature of surround area. Measurement of temperature in other parts besides combustion chamber is also very important. Other surrounding areas such as Flue Gas Exit, boiler walls above combustion chamber, boiler pipe are also very important & crucial to optimize boiler’s performance.
If the temperature of Flue Exit area & boiler walls is not enough, then there are high chances that slag will appear on the pipes of boiler walls. This condition is not ideal & makes the maintenance process very much complicated which also affects the life of boiler due to corrosive nature. Therefore, monitoring of boiler room temperature on regular basis is very important to prevent the appearance of slag.
AST Solutions
AST has portable pyrometer which can be used to measure the temperature of boiler pipe. The AST model is P250 & comes with adjustable measuring range and also has built in recording system.
Operators can get temperature directly on walls, pipe, or fireballs which can be used as data for decision making.
